22nd Annual Fall Festival

Celebrate Insects at Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge!
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge will host the 22nd Fall Festival, The Great Bug Blast! 
It will be a day of free, fun, family activities on the grounds of the Helen C Fenske Visitor Center, 32 Pleasant Plains Rd., Harding Township 07920.

Highlights will include:

• Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! Vote for your favorite insect
• River Seining for a close look at critters in the Passaic River
• Guided nature walks led by Friends Volunteer Naturalists
• Live swamp critters and Monarch butterflies
• A Story Corner and Story Walk with help from the staff of Kemmerer Library in Harding Township
• Target Archery for ages 10 and above
• Hoverball Shooting Gallery for ages 6 and above
• Junior Refuge Manager – complete the booklet and become a Junior Refuge Manager
• Astronomy with help from United Astronomy Clubs
• A Giant Jenga game supervised by volunteers from Groundwork Elizabeth
• Fun and informative exhibits from many other partners
• Free hot dogs on the grill
• 2023 Photo contest winners will be announced at 1:00

Fall Festival will be held at the Helen C Fenske Visitor Center, 32 Pleasant Plains Road, Harding Township
NJ 07920. Use Exit 30 from Route 287. There will be plenty of parking.
